The Cuban singer Norlam, a former member of the popular group Los 4 led by Jorge Junior, announced this weekend that he has obtained his visa to travel to the United States.
In a live broadcast from his Instagram account, the artist celebrated the news with his followers and sent a message to those who doubted that he would manage to enter the North American country.
"Gentlemen, for those who said that the United States didn't want me, for those who said I wouldn't get the visa... well, folks, I now have the visa to the United States, okay? These days we are landing in Yuma and we are going to have concerts in the United States, my brother Salvador and I, it's going to be amazing," said Norlam with laughter.
The singer added that he will bring to the stage "the repertoire that people love," featuring popular songs like Voy para allá and Esa te la di, which defined his time with Los 4.
"They are going to make a big splash in the United States, with their voices and their souls," he commented excitedly. "I’m going to sweep the floor, for those who said I wouldn’t make it."
Norlam has not yet specified the dates or cities where he will perform, but he mentioned that his tour in the United States will begin "in the coming days."
The news has been celebrated by many of his followers, who had been asking to see him perform live outside of Cuba for some time, and it marks a new step in the artist's career following his departure from Jorge Junior's group.
