An emotional video shared on TikTok by the user @andresito_de_cuba has touched the hearts of thousands of Cubans both on the island and abroad, showing the reunion between a young emigrant and his mother in Cuba after years of separation.
In the images, recorded in front of a typical neighborhood house, the mother can be seen running out with excitement upon hearing the car horn, only to embrace her son in a long and heartfelt hug.
"This is unmatched by anything. I love you, mother, even if I don't say it often," wrote the young man about the video, which has been widely shared by the Cuban community on social media.
The moment continues as the boy enters the house and also embraces what appears to be his grandmother, who is visibly emotional to see him again.
In the description of the clip, the young man wrote a phrase that reflects the sentiment of many émigrés: "How painful Cuba is and being far from what we love."
