Cuba awoke on Tuesday and Wednesday with no visible presence of U.S. military ships near its waters, as can be seen on the updated maritime map from Vessel Finder.

In the image, obtained from public naval monitoring platforms, a clear environment is observed around the Cuban archipelago, with no identifiable contacts of warships operating in the area.

The scene contrasts with what happened last Sunday, when monitoring via open maritime maps detected at least three U.S. military vessels operating close to Cuban waters.

On that occasion, one of the vessels appeared to be less than eight nautical miles from the northern coast of the island, near a point close to Cayo Romano Occidental, which drew attention due to its proximity to the territorial sea boundary.

The image corresponding to this Wednesday clearly reflects the change in the situation. No military ships are observed in the immediate vicinity of Cuba, and the visible contacts are concentrated in other areas far from the archipelago.

These types of maps, commonly used for monitoring maritime traffic in almost real-time, allow us to observe how naval presence in the region can change from one day to the next.

So far, the Cuban regime has not made any public statements regarding what happened on Sunday or the current situation depicted in today's image.
