The Cuban regime presented the "Selected Works" of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, a nine-volume compilation that gathers over 500 documents distributed across approximately 5,000 pages.

According to the Presidency of Cuba, the volumes contain texts related to the historical journey of Raúl Castro, whom they describe as "a great leader" and "a great human being."

This compilation is the result of "four years of research work" and was published, amid the current crisis, by the Book Institute.

During the presentation, historian Elier Ramírez described the collection as a “gift for Cuba and all revolutionaries” and defined it as an “ethical compass and arsenal of ideas for the complex moment we are living through.”

Abel Prieto stated that the pages allow for a "new understanding" of Raúl Castro's leadership, which he described as different from Fidel Castro's, but "completely in continuity."

The prologue of the work was written by Miguel Díaz-Canel, who expressed that it is "a privilege" to have Raúl Castro as a guide. It was also highlighted that the texts cover 70 years of his life, presented as "exemplary and heroic."

The digital version of the Selected Works is available on the official website of the Presidency. The regime is seeking readers for these nine volumes of papers, letters, and speeches from the nonagenarian Cuban dictator.
