The U.S. confirmed this Sunday the use of stealth bombers B-2 that attacked Iran's ballistic missile facilities.
“Last night, U.S. B-2 stealth bombers, equipped with 900 kg bombs, struck Iran’s robust ballistic missile facilities,” said U.S. Central Command (Centcom) on X.
" no nation should ever doubt the determination of the United States," they added.
According to The Hill, this is the second time these state-of-the-art aircraft have been used in an operation against Iran, following the June incident when seven B-2 Spirit stealth bombers dropped 14 massive 30,000-pound GBU-57 bunker buster bombs on Iran's nuclear facilities at Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
The stealth bombers B-2 can reach an altitude of over 15,240 meters and fly 11,112 km without refueling.
This Sunday, the Central Command confirmed the death of 3 American soldiers and 5 seriously wounded.
The identities of the deceased will not be revealed for 24 hours out of respect for the families, they add.
Trump, for his part, threatened to strike Iran with “unprecedented force” if Tehran fulfills its promise to launch a “historic offensive” against the U.S. and Israel, in retaliation for the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
EFE reported that the Iranian regime confirmed the death of the supreme leader following a joint military operation carried out on Saturday by U.S. and Israeli forces against strategic targets in Tehran and other cities.
Through his social network Truth Social, Trump responded to the threats made by Iranian officials in recent hours.
"Iran has just declared that it will strike hard today, harder than ever before. However, it would be more advantageous for them not to do so, because if they do, we will hit them with an unprecedented force," wrote the leader.
In another message posted on Saturday, after confirming Jamenei's death, Trump stated: “Jamenei, one of the most evil individuals in history, is dead. This is not only justice for the Iranian people, but also for all the great Americans and people from many countries around the world who have been killed or mutilated by Jamenei and his gang of ruthless thugs.”
The American president also urged the Iranian people to "take back" their country after decades under the regime of the ayatollahs.
