Amid the current climate of political confrontation with the United States, the Cuban regime has bolstered its narrative that the country is ready to "confront the enemy," showcasing military exercises and civil mobilizations in several provinces.

The official television Televisión Cubana broadcast reports showcasing territorial preparation actions as part of the national defense system, involving regular units of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the population.

The distributed materials emphasized the supervision by high-ranking military officials and the conduct of maneuvers in areas such as Ciego de Ávila, Camagüey, Sancti Spíritus, Matanzas, Holguín, Santiago de Cuba, Guantánamo, Pinar del Río, Artemisa, Villa Clara, and the Isle of Youth.

The official discourse emphasized the importance of "defense preparedness" and popular participation as a safeguard against possible scenarios of aggression.

The media exhibition takes place in a context of diplomatic tensions and rising rhetoric between Havana and Washington. At the same time, the country is experiencing a deep economic crisis, characterized by blackouts, food shortages, inflation, and a decline in basic services.

While the regime emphasizes a combative stance and unity in the face of external threats, many Cubans are experiencing daily hardships that worsen social discontent on the island.

The insistence on territorial defense is part of a historical narrative of the Cuban government, which often appeals to the scenario of external aggression as a means of political cohesion during times of high internal and external pressure.
