In addition to his academic work, Villar Ledo held roles in the controversial Telecommunications Company of Cuba S.A. (ETECSA).

According to the university, he maintained a consistent dedication to CUJAE, supporting the teaching of subjects and leading the ETECSA group at the Telecommunications and Computer Studies Center (CETI) for nearly five years.

The Faculty highlighted that it had a comprehensive command of the curriculum for the Telecommunications and Electronics program at the four universities where this specialty is offered in the country.

The institutional message also emphasizes its ongoing willingness to assist colleagues and students, regardless of age or teaching category.

"We are losing a person who contributed like few others to sustain our classes during the adverse circumstances we have faced in recent years," stated the Faculty, which sent condolences to their family and loved ones.

Students and colleagues have expressed their condolences for his passing in the comments on the post.
