The young Cuban activist Anna Sofía Benítez Silvente, known on social media as Anna Bensi, has received a surge of support from artists, activists, and users after publicly speaking out about the accusations made against her mother by the Cuban authorities.

After Bensi reported on Facebook that his mother was interrogated for two hours and subsequently accused of "exposing a State Security agent," numerous supportive messages began to flood social media.

Among the voices that expressed support is the Cuban singer Leoni Torres, who reacted with several applause, strength, and heart emojis in the young woman's post.

Other users also expressed their solidarity with Bensi and his family. "We are with you beyond words," wrote activist Iván Daniel Calás Navarro, while opposition figure and former political prisoner Thais Franco commented that the young woman's testimony deeply moved her.

“Uffff little girl, you are so brave,” Franco expressed in reference to the courage shown by Bensi in publicly denouncing the situation.

"They had absolutely nothing until yesterday. They are playing with the chain to see what the monkey does," said activist Yamilka Laffita, known online as Lara Crofs.

Numerous comments highlighted the young woman's courage and her willingness to speak openly about what happened with her mother, despite the possible consequences.

In his original message, Bensi stated that the summons against his mother aims to "intimidate her, pressure her, and destabilize her." He also affirmed that both she and her mother have received threats and held the State Security responsible for any harm that may come their way.

The young woman also reported that her mother had been placed under a sort of house arrest, with a prohibition on leaving the country while the process against her unfolds.

In his statement, Bensi concluded with strong criticisms of the Cuban political system and called for freedom for political prisoners, as well as reiterated slogans such as "Homeland and Life" and "Freedom for Cuba."
