Cuban actor and content creator Yaniel Castillo once again elicited laughter on social media with a new parody, this time imitating U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
In the video posted on Instagram, Castillo appears performing a mock version of the politician's appearance, blending Spanish, English, and Cuban expressions in a speech filled with humor and nods to the political reality of the Island.
During the parody, the actor jokes about the relationship with Cuba and exaggeratedly adopts Rubio's solemn tone, turning it into an absurd and very Cuban scene. "He who eats crab walks backwards," he says in the video, allegedly quoting his "grandma," before laughingly declaring that when they enter Cuba, he will be "the president of the Republic" himself.
The most talked-about moment arrives when the character announces that he will turn the country into "Marco Island," while asking Cubans to learn English for when President Donald Trump arrives.
Castillo also introduces surreal details, such as the shipment of "cargoes of gogoceras and card holders" to operate in the country, concluding his speech with the promise of a Cuba "free of lines, free of communism, and full of flavor."
The video retains the characteristic humor style of the Cuban actor, who is known on social media for his impersonations and sketches that blend political satire with everyday situations from exile and Cuban culture.
The reactions from followers were immediate, with thousands of views and comments celebrating the actor's creativity and his ability to turn political current events into comedy.
Castillo has established himself as one of the most popular Cuban creators on social media, thanks to his parodies in which he combines accent, gestures, and exaggerations to build recognizable characters that resonate with the audience.
