The popular Cuban musician Cándido Fabré once again generated reactions on social media after posting a message in which he envisions a bridge between Miami and Havana as a symbol of unity among Cubans both on the island and abroad.

In an extensive text (a song lyric with a poetic and improvised tone) shared on Facebook, the artist appealed for reconciliation and rapprochement between the diaspora and those who remain in Cuba.

"When the bridge from Miami to Havana is completed, there will be a carnival, my people, in the Cuban capital," he wrote.

Fabré openly invited Cubans abroad to return to the country without fear.

"Cuban, I'm waiting for you, there is no fear, don't stop. Whoever wants to come, let them come to the land of Martí," he expressed.

The musician also emphasized the need to move beyond divisions.

"Build the bridge grandly to unite Cubans... leave hatred on the shore," he noted.

In his message, imbued with a poetic and musical tone, the artist described that hypothetical bridge as a means to facilitate free transit between both sides of the Florida Straits.

"I dream of that journey, being able to come and go; bring love in your luggage," she added.

Fabré's words come in the context of political and social tensions, as well as a growing migration of Cubans to the United States, which has deepened the separation between families on both sides of the sea.

His publication has generated various reactions, among those who support the call for unity and those who question the artist's perspective on the country's reality.

Cándido Fabré has stood out for years as a steadfast defender of the Cuban Revolution, both in his music and in his public appearances.

The popular artist has maintained a stance aligned with the official discourse, participating in institutional events and repeatedly expressing his support for the political system of the island, which has made him a figure associated with the cultural narrative promoted by the government.
