The huge scare that Los Pichy Boys gave Carlos Otero: "He had a heart attack."

The Pichy Boys played an unforgettable prank on their friend and colleague Carlos Otero during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of their production company Pichy Films, and the moment was captured in a Facebook reel that has already garnered over 21,000 views.

The video, titled "There are no 20 years of Pichy Films without @carlosoterotv, what an honor to have you in the Charlie room," showcases how the duo formed by Alejandro González (Alex) and Maikel Rodríguez (Maikito) turned a real scare into an enormous prank, true to their irreverent and exaggerated style.

It all began when Carlos Otero fell or stumbled in the "Charlie room," the venue where Los Pichy Boys were celebrating their anniversary performance. "I said, he fell. What an embarrassment; how terrible what just happened. I said, my God," one of the comedians recounted in the video, describing the moment when they feared the worst.

From there, the joke escalated to the ridiculous: the comedians pretended that Otero had passed away and that they needed to dedicate the entire performance "in memoriam." "You pretend you have to dedicate the show today to Carlos Botero. No, you pretend. Everyone to the mortuary, you're screwed," can be heard in the reel, accompanied by laughter.

The punchline of the joke came with an impossible condition for the imaginary wake: that López and Otadola —two figures whose dynamic is a recurring theme in the comedic universe of the duo— would attend together. "But the body is present, with one condition. What is it? That López and Otadola go together," they said, provoking the immediate response: "Ah, don't get involved in that relationship."

Carlos Otero, a Cuban presenter and host born on June 16, 1958 in Havana, is one of the most beloved figures in Cuban entertainment in Miami. He left Cuba on December 8, 2007 and for 15 years he was the face of the show TN3 on América TeVé, until he departed in May 2022 due to disagreements with the producer. Since then, he has been hosting "La Hora de Carlos Live!" on Facebook and YouTube.

The relationship between Otero and Los Pichy Boys is long and solid. The host has participated in several of their programs, including Pellízcame que estoy soñando, La Cosa Nostra, and El Mikimbín de Miami, and in 2025 both jointly mourned the death of comedian José Téllez, also known as "El Chico Bombón".

The reel, lasting one minute and 39 seconds, gathered 755 likes and 14 comments, becoming one of the most talked-about moments during the anniversary celebration of Pichy Films, which will celebrate two decades of producing comedic content for the Cuban community in exile in 2026.
