The Cuban comedian Ulises Toirac has once again spoken out about the political situation in the country and the current process of dialogue between Cuba and the United States, with a critical message that has sparked widespread debate on social media.

Toirac stated on that "the people are not at the negotiating table, not even by representation", and questioned that those participating in the process “are negotiating their interests, which do not align with those of the people or the nation.”

He assured that a solution for Cuba, no matter where it comes from, cannot wait any longer.

“What's undeniable is that we must get out of this crisis. Whatever it takes to ease the pain of surviving in inhumane conditions will be an improvement. Lives today are worth more than ideals. Unfortunately. The alternative is the Holocaust,” he asserted.

The comedian stated that the lack of transparency and citizen participation reflects a disconnection between political decisions and the reality of Cubans. In his view, the system does not allow critical voices to be heard.

"They have shown that they do not even listen and suppress any dissent. And dissent is also the people," she pointed out.

Toirac also questioned the role of official institutions, particularly the National Assembly of People's Power, which he accused of making decisions that do not truly represent the citizens.

According to the comedian, there is no effective accountability regarding key processes such as negotiations, which reinforces the perception of exclusion among the people.

In his reflection, the artist warned about the fragmentation of Cuban society and noted that ideological division prevents the establishment of a common stance that could influence the country's direction.

"There will be no nation until we speak a common dialect," he stated, while warning about the effects of fear, polarization, and the lack of consensus.

His statements add to a growing number of voices within Cuba calling for concrete solutions and greater inclusion in the decisions that affect the country's future.
