The popular Cuban host Carlos Otero, one of the most recognized figures in television both on the island and in exile, has surprised his followers once again with an intimate confession that reveals a lesser-explored side of his life: his desire to become a father again at the age of 67.

During a conversation with Keelyn Durán on her YouTube show La Hora de Carlos, the host did not hesitate to open his heart and admit that, despite his age, he would like to "start over" with a child.

"I really like children... at my age, approaching 68... I would love to be a father again," he confessed, making it clear that this is not a fleeting idea, but a genuine longing.

Otero, who is already a father of three children from previous relationships, spoke candidly about how he envisions this new stage of his life. He even joked about the advantages he would have in the United States for taking on parenting, mentioning the possibility of having domestic help and family support.

However, beyond the casual tone, his words revealed a deeply emotional motivation. The host assured that if he had a daughter, he would invest everything he has in her: "If it's a girl, I'm done for… everything I have will go to her wholeheartedly."

The confession was also marked by his views on inheritance and family, in a comment that did not go unnoticed: after distributing among his sons, he asserted that he would practically not look back.

Otero's personal story has been marked by difficult moments and pivotal decisions. Since his departure from Cuba in 2007 in search of a better future for his family to his establishment in Miami's television scene, his life has always revolved around overcoming challenges and a commitment to his loved ones.

Now, nearing 68 years old, the desire to start over as a father reveals that, beyond fame and success, there are dreams that do not recognize age.

A confession that undoubtedly resonates with many Cubans both on the island and abroad: those who have had to rebuild their lives from scratch… and those who still believe it’s never too late to start again.
