A Cuban woman became the star of one of the most shared TikTok videos this week after she reacted with explosive humor when her husband confessed that he would like to wake up listening to the Colombian accent.
The clip was published last Saturday by the account @velamusica, lasts just 31 seconds, and accumulated over 148,500 views, 6,315 likes, 125 comments, and 1,666 shares in just a few days, figures that reflect the high level of connection the Latin audience has with the situation.
Everything begins in a sweet way: a video appears of a young Colombian greeting her partner with a "love, good morning, handsome, how did the most beautiful thing my eyes have ever seen wake up?"
Seconds later, the scene shifts indoors, where the husband's confession quickly sparks a reaction: he tells her that he would like "the Colombian accent to wake him up like that in the morning."
The Cuban's reaction is immediate and straightforward: "Daddy, uh-huh, daddy, keep looking for that Colombian accent that wakes you up like that in the morning."
It is not the first time that the differences between both accents have sparked debate on social media; in fact, a Colombian went so far as to say that Cubans do not speak Spanish, rather, understanding them is quite a feat.
