The Cuban regime organized this Thursday in Havana the Youth Anti-Imperialist Parade "Here, with Fidel", a political march that mobilized young people and children from the Malecón in Havana, on G Street, to La Punta, in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality, for political and propagandistic purposes.

The event, called for eight in the morning by the Union of Young Communists (UJC), was broadcast live by the official newspaper Juventud Rebelde, whose narrator described the scene: "Youth caravan makes its entrance in front of the Museum of the Revolution."

According to the video story, about 100 young people participated in the caravan, moving on bicycles, skates, skateboards, and electric vehicles, including electric tricycles.

The images from the event also showed the presence of children in Pioneer uniforms —white shirts and red neckerchiefs— reflecting a systematic pattern of the regime incorporating minors into its political indoctrination campaigns.

This Wednesday, it was reported that preschoolers in a Havana school were chanting slogans featuring "Fidel," "socialism," and "militia" under the guidance of their teachers.

The central words of the event were spoken by Meyvis Estévez Echavarría, the first secretary of the UJC, who stated: "We know we are the owners of a country that we build and defend every day," reported the official account of the regime on X

The participants wore shirts with the slogans "100 years with Fidel" and "Centenary Anti-Imperialist Torch," as part of the regime's campaign to commemorate the centenary of Fidel Castro's birth, scheduled for August 13, 2026.

The main theme of the event was TumbaElBloqueo. The Communist Party of Cuba published on X that "the younger generations of Cubans have had to suffer, since their birth, the effects caused by the genocidal blockade that the United States has imposed on Cuba for over six decades," referring to the U.S. embargo.

The use of electric tricycles in the parade is striking due to the contradiction it represents: Havana is experiencing a severe transportation crisis, with the collapse of bus services due to a lack of fuel and power outages of up to 20 hours a day that prevent the recharging of these public service electric vehicles.

To ensure the parade, the Provincial Road Safety Commission of Havana prohibited vehicle circulation on the affected roads from four in the morning until the conclusion of the event.

The use of minors in political acts is not an isolated occurrence.

In December 2025, the regime mobilized schoolchildren in Santiago de Cuba for acts of worship to Castro, and in April 2025, uniformed children participated in a repudiation act in front of a dissident's house, alongside teachers and State Security agents.
