A group identified as Clandestinos set fire in the early hours of this Tuesday to a banner of the Young Communist Union (UJC) located at the entrance of the municipality of Güira de Melena, in the province of Artemisa, as confirmed by activist Yoel González Veloso through Facebook.
Güira de Melena is active, they just sent me this video from the guireños Clandestinos. It was early this morning and they say more things will happen, wrote González, who shared images of the burning sign located on the road that connects the town with San Antonio de los Baños.
The sign, featuring propaganda from the UJC and messages relating to "revolutionary continuity," was completely burned. According to reports shared on social media, the fire started around 3:00 a.m.

The action marks a new appearance of the group Clandestinos, known for their anonymous protests and acts of symbolic sabotage against the regime's propaganda, especially since 2020, when images of busts of José Martí covered in red paint began to go viral as a denunciation of the repression in Cuba.
In this instance, the attack occurs in a context of high political tension following the capture of Venezuelan Nicolás Maduro and the increasing pressures from Washington on the Cuban regime.
