A boy approached President Donald Trump this Monday during the White House Easter Egg Roll and said, "Donald Trump, you are the best president." The president's response was immediate and unequivocal: "Thank you, I agree."

The exchange took place on the South Lawn of the White House during the 148th edition of this tradition celebrated each Easter Monday, organized this year by Trump and First Lady Melania Trump under a patriotic theme in honor of the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.

The video of the moment was published on X by the conservative journalist Nick Sortor and quickly became one of the most discussed clips of the day, with reactions divided between those who celebrated the president's spontaneity and those who pointed out his distinctive direct style.

The event was not limited to a viral exchange with the minor. Trump also signed autographs for them and took the opportunity to mock the use of the autopen by his predecessor Joe Biden, telling the children that their signatures could be worth $25,000 on eBay.

Many of the children appeared confused by Trump's criticisms of Biden regarding the Easter Egg Roll, as they were mostly interested in getting autographs and returning to the egg hunt, according to reports at the time.

In a event widely described as surreal by international media, Trump also delivered a speech about the war with Iran while the Easter Bunny literally stood beside him on the lawn, discussing the rescue of two pilots whose plane was shot down last Friday in Iranian territory.

"You don't care when the enemy is weak, but that enemy is strong. They are not as strong as they were a month ago, I can tell you. In fact, right now they are not strong at all, in my opinion," Trump said about Iran to the gathered family audience in the White House gardens.

The event's activities included the traditional egg race, scavenger hunts, storytelling sessions, interactive games, an AI creation station sponsored by Meta, and an exhibit featuring 150 live chicks presented by the American Egg Board.

Each family also received an official commemorative egg with the printed signatures of Trump and Melania.
