The Cuban reggaeton artist El Chulo and influencer María Karla are fully making up for lost time with their son Justin in Mexico, and their Instagram stories say it all: pool time with dad, dinners with mom, and a little kitchen cart that seems to be the child's favorite toy.
The images that both have shared these days show the baby—around ten months—exploring the house, eating a roll while sitting on the marble floor, splashing in the pool between his father's tattooed arms, and going out to dinner with his mother, complete with a straw hat and her usual smile. María Karla sums it up with a phrase that says it all: My lord.

Behind these everyday scenes are months of forced separation that make every moment count twice as much. El Chulo —whose real name is Abel Díaz Rodríguez— was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on January 22 at his residence in Homestead, Florida, due to a deportation order from 2018 related to a firearm incident in Tampa in 2017.
After weeks detained in the center known as "Alligator Alcatraz", his lawyer publicly reported that he was beaten and subjected to extreme conditions, which generated a wave of solidarity among his supporters and the Cuban community abroad.
Once out of the detention center and already on Mexican soil, El Chulo quickly reacted with his characteristic humor and determination: What they did to me was a favor, he declared on his social media, making it clear that he did not intend to be defeated by the circumstances.
María Karla, for her part, traveled alone from the United States to meet him in Mexico, in a reunion that thrilled thousands of followers. Together, the couple has shown that the bond that unites them goes beyond borders and legal obstacles. He even referred to her as the love of my life in one of his most emotional messages.
The most anticipated chapter has arrived as Justin landed in Mexico and El Chulo embraced him for the first time after months of separation. The images of the father-son reunion quickly went viral, and it's no surprise: Esponjita is never sad with his dad, the artist wrote alongside one of the cutest videos he has shared on social media.
Before his family could reunite with him, El Chulo had already expressed how much he missed them: I love them and miss them with all my heart, he wrote in a message that captured the pain of distance. Now, with the family together, those words have given way to priceless moments.
