The Cuban singer Leoni Torres announced this Saturday that he is working on a new album produced by Emilio Estefan, one of the most influential Latin producers in the world, in a project that also involves the Cuban musician Ronkalunga.

Torres shared the news on his official Facebook account along with a photo of himself with Estefan and Ronkalunga, in what promises to be a historic collaboration.

Something very good is about to happen. I was just talking to Maestro Emilio Estefan Jr. about what will be a new album produced by him and his team. Grateful for life and the opportunities it gives us. A hug to my little brother Ronkalunga, wrote Torres in the post.

Leoni Torres arrives at this collaboration following the success of his most recent album, La salsa no engorda, which solidified his status as one of the leading voices in contemporary Cuban music.

Willy Chirino himself, another iconic voice of Cuban music from exile, has described him as a rare talent that comes along only on rare occasions.

Emilio Estefan. has accumulated more than 30 Grammy nominations and 19 awards won throughout his career, making him one of the architects of modern Latin sound.

Among his recent works with Cuban artists, it is noteworthy that in 2023 he produced the album Pa'l mundo, by Cuban rapper El Micha.

On its part, Ronkalunga is a Cuban musician whose work blends changüí, son, bolero, and trova with reggae, funk, and afrobeat, adding an experimental and multicultural dimension to the project.
