The Cuban influencer Flor de Cuba, whose real name is Flor Danay Hernández, broke down in tears this week while reviewing her TikTok Shop statistics from July 2025, when she was earning $8,000 a month, unaware of the explosion that would come just months later.
The video, posted on Wednesday on Instagram, showed the creator in a moment of deep emotion as she compared that version of herself with the one she is today.
"Looking at your monthly statistics in TikTok Shop and seeing this is... Oh! Satisfying. It's all worth it," she said with tears, remembering that she had started earning just 300 dollars a month before scaling up to those 8,000 that made her feel "powerful" and "blessed."
What followed was a transformation of figures that was hard to process: in October 2025, just two or three months after that video in July, it was already generating 96,000 dollars per month.
"This was in July. In October, I was selling 96 thousand dollars. And in July, I was at 8 thousand," he recounted.
Today, their personal record is $15,000 in a single day, having generated $192,000 net in a month and accumulating approximately $10 million in gross merchandise value in just six months on the platform.
Her business model is that of an affiliate creator: she promotes products from third-party brands through short videos and live broadcasts, earning commissions of between 10% and 20% for each sale.
The video arrived during a week filled with personal milestones: on April 14, she announced her pregnancy, on the 17th she received the Revelation Creator of the Year award at the TikTok Shop Summit, and on the 20th she finalized the purchase of her first house in Miami, valued at over one million dollars.
She herself admitted that she hadn't cried at any of those moments, and that it was only upon seeing the video in July that everything hit her all at once.
"If she knew what she has achieved. Oh, I'm sorry. It's just that I'm feeling very sensitive," she said, referring to herself in that recording.
The contrast between both versions was summed up with a phrase that went viral among his followers: "The flower of July was making this video with 8 thousand dollars. And the flower of April has already bought a house for her mother, she already owns a property in Punta Cana for rental income that she can live off for the rest of her life without working, and she already has her first house in the United States."
The reactions from her community were overwhelming, with thousands of supporters claiming to have cried alongside her and describing her as "inspiration," "warrior," and "an example of the empowered Cuban woman."
Flor de Cuba arrived in the United States in late 2024 with just 200 dollars, without documents and without a credit history, and today she runs her own academy, "El Método Flor", where she teaches others how to generate income with TikTok Shop from scratch.
"I am just an example that, indeed, it is possible. It takes years, then suddenly it happens," he concluded, in a phrase that his followers now repeat like a mantra.
