Alain Guadarrama Torres was identified and arrested this Thursday as the perpetrator of the murder of a man, whom he shot twice with a revolver in broad daylight, as reported on Facebook by the official MININT page "Con Todos La Victoria."
The incident occurred at noon on Martí Street, at the corner of América, in front of the Mai Mai bar, in the municipality of Colón, Matanzas province.
The victim was identified by family and friends as Michael, popularly known by the nickname "Broken Nose."
"Two individuals, far from being saints, with personal grudges, crossed paths in a confrontation that ended badly. One of them pulled out a Smith Wesson revolver and, within seconds, fired two shots that ended the other person's life," explained the regime's spokesperson profile.
"Con Todos La Victoria" stated that it was "a regrettable incident that clearly shows how personal issues, when mixed with weapons, can transform the routine of a neighborhood into a scene of pain."
It was also reported that immediately after the unfortunate incident, government authorities intervened and captured the person responsible for the violent event.
The suspect is in custody and would return to prison where, according to official sources, Guadarrama had been incarcerated years ago for attacking another person with a knife and causing serious injuries.
The detail of the escape was confirmed by Jorge Álvarez, a friend of the deceased, as he reported that Michael was shot in the head from a white tourist car whose occupants fled after the attack.
Several residents confirmed the arrest on social media. Dayi Mendez wrote: "The boy is already behind bars." Noslen Ramírez, who was passing by at the time of the crime, also corroborated it: "That's true, I was walking by when it happened."
The municipality of Colón has recorded a series of violent incidents in recent months.
Among the documented cases are the arrest of two men accused of killing a teenager in December 2025, the femicide of a young mother in February 2025, and the murder of a father in a settlement early on December 31, 2024.
