The family of Tailor Manuel, a 15-year-old teenager, launched an urgent alert on Facebook to find his whereabouts after he disappeared on Monday afternoon in the province of Sancti Spíritus, when he left his house and did not return.

According to the publication shared by Jose E. González Marín, family members, friends, and the police are participating in the search, but as of the time of the alert, no one knew the whereabouts of the minor.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts can immediately contact the numbers 56449735 and 59271617.

"Maybe you don't have the information, but someone who sees your post does," wrote González, who urged others to share the message so it would reach "every corner of Sancti Spíritus and beyond."

"There is a family waiting to find their son. Every share can help this search reach further," González concluded in his post.

The case follows a pattern that has become commonplace in Cuba: in the absence of an official early warning system for missing persons —equivalent to the Amber Alert in the United States— families rely on social media as their main search tool.

Sancti Spíritus has recorded several cases of missing persons in recent months.

The mother of Doraiky Águila Vázquez, missing since March 2025, traveled to Cabaiguán in mid-October following a lead, but returned without finding her.

Nationwide, the cases of missing minors in Cuba during 2026 have multiplied.

Raimiel Salazar Cobas, 12 years old, was found alive in Santiago de Cuba in less than 48 hours due to the swift dissemination of an alert on social media in April.
