Cuban model and influencer Daniela Reyes celebrated her 29th birthday this Tuesday with a reflection that captures the spirit she has demonstrated throughout 2026: instead of making wishes, she chose to express gratitude.

In her birthday post on Instagram, accompanied by five photographs, she wrote: "This year, I blew out my candles but did not make any more wishes. I thanked God for what He has given me, just as it is. The love that accompanies me, the growth I have experienced, and the privilege of celebrating another year of life."

The images show Reyes posing next to an elaborate white cake decorated with red strawberries and lit candles, in a setting that includes a carved marble fireplace and a white grand piano. The cake, made by Divine Delicacies Cakes, featured the inscription "Happy Birthday Daniela," and the hair and makeup were done by stylist Carlos Sigas.

The post garnered over 10,400 likes and 355 comments, including one from her own mother: "Seeing you happy, surrounded by love and grateful for so many blessings fills me with pride and joy. May God continue to light your path and may you always have reasons to smile. I love you endlessly, mom."

Her followers welcomed her warmly in the comments on her birthday post. Some referred to her as "the queen of the hearts of Cubans," and one person left a message hinting at a possible new chapter in her career: "Happy birthday, my Daniela. Miss Grand Cuba is waiting for you."

The message of gratitude from Reyes comes at a time of personal and professional maturity. This year, she experienced her greatest public exposure by as candidate number 20 representing Pinar del Río, selected from over 100 contenders. Throughout the pageant, she was one of the audience's top favorites.

She also received the recognition of Top Model of the Year at the Feather Fantasy Fashion Show, but the crown of the final gala went to Mia Dio, representative of Isla de la Juventud.

After the event, Reyes broke her silence with a message of gratitude in which she acknowledged the new queen and revealed that some individuals had attempted to hinder her path from the very beginning.
