7-month pregnant Cuban woman refuses to press charges after being beaten by her partner in Hialeah

This is the couple's second incident of domestic violence in their apartment in Hialeah.

A seven-month pregnant Cuban woman refused this Wednesday to press charges against her partner despite having been the victim of an attack by him in the apartment they both share in the city of Hialeah, in Miami-Dade County.

During the defendant's court appearance, a 24-year-old Cuban identified as René Cruz Hernández, the woman asked Judge Mindy S. Glazer via video call not to impose a restraining order on her attacker.

The incident took place on Tuesday, when police responded to a home located in the area of West Sixth Avenue and West 14th Street for a domestic violence incident, according to reports.America Camel.

Initially, the victim explained to detectives that, in the middle of an argument, Cruz Hernández grabbed her by the neck and pushed her.

It has not been revealed whether the police responded to the scene at the call of the woman or a neighbor or witness.

This would be the couple's second incident of domestic violence.

"If he drops the charges next time, he will take his life," said an Internet user on social networks.

At the time of writing, the man remains detained in the TGK prison. A bail of $7,500 was imposed on him.
