Sources linked to law enforcement stated that the man was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, a claim that has yet to be confirmed by investigators, nor corroborated by family members or eyewitnesses.

The incident took place during a heated dispute between the driver of the Technical Assistance on the Road (ATV) truck and the driver of the tour bus belonging to Transmetro.

Although the origin of the confrontation has not been clarified, witnesses indicate that it involved a dispute over a driving maneuver that escalated into physical assaults against the truck driver, who then responded by ramming his vehicle into theirs at least twice.
