A couple is being sought in connection with the murder of Daylon Fleitas González, the 37-year-old Cuban who was missing for nearly ten days and whose body was found this Tuesday near the Everglades.

The journalist from Univision, Javier Díaz, has specified that the couple being sought by authorities is of Cuban origin.

On Facebook, the police have been emphatic in categorizing the discovery of the baby as “the most important,” stating that “he may be in danger.”

The police have indicated that the individuals being sought "should be considered armed and dangerous."

So far, no further details have emerged regarding how the police focused their suspicions on this couple.

The discovery of the corpse

On August 12, authorities in Miami-Dade County confirmed the discovery of the body of Daylon Fleitas González, who had been reported missing since August 3 in Hialeah.

After more than a week of searching and uncertainty, the police found his body in a remote area in the southwest of Miami-Dade County, near the Everglades.

The body was found not far from where it was abandoned, among some bushes, along with her truck, a black 2011 Ford F-150 with Florida license plate RPQW74.

The exact location of the discovery has not been revealed.

The disappearance

On Sunday, August 3, Daylon told his brother, Cristian Fleitas, that he would go meet someone to "collect some money that was owed to him."

However, the Cuban, who was the father of three children, never returned home.

Daylon's brother clarified that the person he was supposedly supposed to meet claimed that the meeting never took place because Daylon did not arrive.

The police have not confirmed so far whether the couple they are seeking is directly related to the collection of the mentioned debt.
