A surveillance video, obtained exclusively by Noticias 23, has vividly shown the final moments of Daylon Fleitas, a 37-year-old Cuban initially reported as missing in Hialeah, and found dead days later inside a recycling bin.

The recording, captured on Sunday, August 3rd in a truck parking lot in Medley, clearly shows the sequence of the crime, from the encounter with the alleged murderer to the dragging of the body.

In the images, Alfredo Carballo -the main suspect and currently at large- approaches Fleitas' truck.

Both enter the vehicle, but minutes later, the camera captures the most chilling moment: the victim's body falls to the ground and Carballo drags it away without resistance.

The police state that at that point he was already injured or dead.

Then it is seen how the aggressor places a recycling bin at the back of the victim's truck, gets behind the wheel, and drives away from the scene, while another vehicle follows.

"The victim and the subject got into the victim's truck. Shortly after, the victim was seen falling from the vehicle, with the subject dragging her along the ground," the Miami-Dade Sheriff's document describes.

That same report indicates that the meeting between the two took place to settle a debt of 10,000 dollars that Carballo owed to Fleitas.

The disappearance was officially reported on August 7, and a day later, the truck was found in the area of Southwest 210th Street and 203rd Avenue, with visible traces of blood on the vehicle and a nearby backpack.

The body was not found until August 9, when homicide investigators located the abandoned container in a wooded area.

Inside was Daylon Fleitas with multiple wounds caused by a sharp weapon. The county coroner confirmed that this was the cause of his death.

"The investigators located the recycling bin… and found the victim inside the container. The victim had multiple injuries on the body," the authorities documented.

Since then, the police have been searching for Alfredo Carballo González and his partner, Ariely Álvarez Cabrera, both Cubans, who are on the run with their five-month-old son, Alain Carballo.
