A municipality marked by traffic tragedy

This is not the first serious accident in Majagua in recent months.

In early July, another tragic accident on the Río Grande highway left three dead - including two minors - and at least 16 injured, when a vehicle from the Hydraulic Resources Company overturned after losing control.

The history of traffic tragedies in the municipality reinforces residents' concerns and once again exposes the vulnerability of transportation in Cuba, where inadequate roads, lack of vehicle maintenance, and driver irresponsibility contribute to a scenario of constant fatal accidents.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the most recent victims are facing the pain.

At the provincial hospital, doctors are working to save the lives of the injured.

Meanwhile, authorities claim they will continue investigating this new incident that casts a shadow over the province of Ciego de Ávila.
