A desperate father pleaded for urgent help to find his son, Dannier Quesada Morales, who has been missing since Monday in Holguín.
Daniel Quesada Sánchez made an urgent appeal this Wednesday in a video on social media to locate his son. “I have a missing child since Monday, I haven’t received any response, and I am asking for help because I have nowhere else to look for that child,” the distressed father pleaded, amid sobs.
The young man left the Diamond of Santa Rita, in the province of Granma, at 7 a.m. on this 10th of November, heading to the military unit of Aguas Claras, in Holguín, as explained in the video shared on several Facebook profiles. His father stated that they have no one to turn to in order to find his son's whereabouts.
"I wouldn't want anyone to go through this moment that I'm experiencing," he expressed, visibly pained. And unable to hold back his tears, he pleaded: "Anyone who sees it, anyone who knows anything, please inform me… I repeat, I don't want anyone to go through this moment."

In the comments on the post, people close to Dannier indicated that the young man is fulfilling his mandatory military service in Holguín, and was on leave at his home, from where he left on Monday morning heading to the unit, which he did not reach.
Quesada's request for information to help him find his son is circulating on social media, where it has garnered the empathy and solidarity of many people.
In Cuba, it has become common in recent years for families to turn to social media to raise awareness about the disappearance of loved ones and seek the community's help in locating them, due to the inaction of the authorities and the lack of official search channels and protocols.
The mobilization of family members and friends, with the support of citizens, activists, platforms, and independent media, keeps the searches active in the face of state indifference. In many cases, thanks to civic help, families have been able to find the missing individuals.
Cases like those of Karildi Marín, who has been missing for almost two years, and Doraiky Águila, who has been missing since March of this year, highlight the urgency for the State to implement effective public policies for cases of disappearance.
