A Cuban resident on the island has deeply moved TikTok users after starring in a video filled with emotion and nostalgia, dedicated to her brother who lives outside of Cuba.
The video was shared on social media by the user @katykely100, who explained in the comments that the message was intended for her husband's brother.
"My husband doesn't want to go to Cuba, and this video was sent to him by his sister. Blessings, sister-in-law," the woman wrote when posting the clip, which quickly went viral.
In the images, the Cuban woman is seen crying as she expresses through sobs the love and admiration she feels for her brother, with words that reflect the harshness of the family separation experienced by thousands of Cuban families.
"Brother, look, I want to tell you everything I feel for you, but it's so overwhelming that even if I try not to, the tears just come out. I stepped away on my own because I don’t want people to think it’s a spectacle, but you know that what I feel for you is love, and it’s bigger than the entire universe," the woman says, visibly moved.
Through tears, he also asked Jehovah to bless and protect his brother and his family abroad.
"The only thing I always ask of Jehová is to protect you and give you strength so you can provide for your wife and children, and may God always help you, my love. All I want for you is good," she continues, emotionally.
The video has touched the hearts of hundreds of users who have left messages of support and empathy in the comments, highlighting the authenticity and deep fraternal love that the Cuban conveys.
"That is the reality for many Cuban families, separated by need and distance. It hurts the soul to see something like this," commented a user.
The scene reflects one of the silent tragedies experienced by the Cuban people: family separation as a result of the massive exodus that has characterized recent years.
Thousands of Cubans have left the island in search of a better life, leaving behind parents, siblings, and children who often can only communicate through video calls or messages like this.
In the midst of the economic and social crisis that Cuba is experiencing, family ties have become a spiritual and emotional refuge, and this video has become an example of unconditional love and faith despite the distance.
