The Cuban content creator Aniadys Armas, known on social media as @aaa_aniadys, captivated her followers with a flavorful and cheeky recipe: beef tongue in sauce “for the critics.”

The Cuban, with her characteristic humor and effortless style, demonstrated the step-by-step process to transform this traditional dish into a delight worth recreating at home.

In the video posted on her social media, the influencer begins by explaining that the first step is to thoroughly wash the beef tongue, cut it into large pieces, and cook it in a pressure cooker for 45 minutes to tenderize it.

Once ready, remove the skin and discard it. Then, start cutting the tender meat into cubes to continue with the preparation.

The next step is to prepare a traditional Cuban sofrito with pork lard, garlic, diced peppers, onion, pepper, and other seasonings. When the sofrito begins to brown, add the sliced tongue, a splash of dry wine, and tomato sauce. Mix it well and let it simmer until the sauce thickens and the flavors concentrate.

Aniadys concluded the recipe with a phrase that elicited laughter and applause from her followers. “They say the tongue is for speaking, but I prefer to cook it, my love. Because while some use it to criticize, I leave it in sauce and it turns out better than their comments.”
