The Cuban content creator Alain Pérez, known on social media as @blessd_alain, shared a video that reflects the difficult routine of thousands of Cubans facing the power outages that are affecting the country.
In his message, the young man starkly summarizes daily life amid the energy crisis, where many areas receive only two hours of electricity service after power outages lasting up to 40 hours.
“Two hours of electricity. Two hours to cook, wash, charge the phone... two hours to feel that we are still alive,” Alain said in his message.
The video, accompanied by the original audio, has gone viral due to its simple and sincere tone.
“This is not an exaggeration. This is not drama. It is the reality that many of us are living today in Cuba,” added the resident of Holguín, appealing to the empathy of those going through the same situation in other provinces of the country.
