After several days of reuniting in Mexico, the Cuban singer Yoslyn Alemán and his mother starred in an emotional video in which they express their nostalgia and concern for the Island.

In the recording, shared on their Instagram account, both can be seen talking with a young woman, conveying a blend of happiness for being together and sadness for what they left behind.

"I am happy, I have my mom, I have my daughter, that was all I wanted," Yoslyn confessed.

Her mother specified: "I am happy, although my happiness is not complete because it hasn't even been a month since I got here. I miss my family, my siblings, my nephews, my home. I left an entire life behind me...".

His testimony also highlighted the harsh reality faced by the people of Cuba: "Happiness is not complete, because I know the needs being endured there, the hunger that exists, the blackouts, cooking with firewood, with charcoal."

The elderly woman emphasized that although they may enjoy the comforts and security in Mexico, the memory of those who remain on the Island weighs on their happiness: "It's hard to enjoy everything here, to see so many things while they have nothing."

Yoslyn complemented her mother's reflection by pointing out that Cubans abroad share a common pain: "The Cuban who lives outside is not happy because they know what is happening to the people of Cuba and to their family members back there."

The "interview" culminates when both proclaim a message of hope and solidarity for the Island: "Long live free Cuba, freedom!".

Days ago, the reunion between mother and son was not just an intimate moment, but also recalled the journey of Yoslyn Alemán and her mother as a viral phenomenon on social media, where with humor and satire they have documented the shortages and hardships faced by the Cuban population.

Since the creation of the "Team hambre" in 2023, through the famous scene of the elderly woman standing with a bag in front of the news broadcast, to the dramatization of the understaffed hospitals, the duo has cleverly highlighted the daily struggles of their country.

In the past, the lady became a symbol of the shortages in Cuba, starkly and naturally demonstrating how families cope with the lack of food, medicine, and basic resources.

Through their videos, many Cubans have been able to see themselves reflected in these situations, while humor becomes a vehicle for critique.
