Dayana Chávez Victoria, better known as Señorita Dayana, is a renowned and popular urban music singer in Cuba. She is also a songwriter, dancer, and choreographer. She was born in Las Tunas, Cuba, on January 13, 1984.
She is a graduate of the National School of Art (ENA) in the category of musical performance dancer. She has belonged to several groups as both a dancer and a singer. Throughout her career on Cuban stages, she has shared the spotlight with artists such as María Antonieta, Zenaida Armenteros, Mayda Mitchel, and Héctor Téllez, among others.
In 2015, she released her first CD-DVD album, De ida y vuelta, for which she is the author of 8 out of the 15 tracks, under the record label Ahí Namá Music. This album was nominated for Cubadisco 2015 in the Pop category.
Her collaborations with major representatives of the urban genre on the island have propelled her to fame and international recognition, placing her among the top artists in Cuba and Puerto Rico. She enjoys significant popularity within the Latino community in Miami, where she was warmly received at the Miami Beach Event (April 2019), where she had the opportunity to share the stage with Gente de Zona, Carlos Vives, Anuel AA, Fruko, among others.
Ms. Dayana has become the only female urban genre singer to reach the top of Cuban radio stations for several consecutive weeks.
Among his most significant collaborations are: "El mentiroso" with El Chacal (2015), with whom he would later reunite to record "Tropical," as well as his version of "Si Piensas, Si Quieres," originally by the Brazilian Roberto Carlos, which was famously performed by Rocío Durcal. The song "Soltera" featuring Príncipe (2016) topped the island's music charts, reaching number one on Miami's 95.7 Cubaton y Más station. Other popular tracks include the remix of "Ojalá" with Jacob Forever, "Beso de tu boca" with Yakarta, and "No volveré" (2020), featuring Cuban urban artists Lenier, Yomil, El Dany, Chacal, and El Micha.
In 2017, the artist was involved in an incident on a television show in Miami, leaving the set after several hosts requested her opinion on the policies of the Cuban government.
In January 2021, he announced the release of his latest musical project, "Por ellas," an album featuring 12 popular songs performed by renowned female artists such as Rocío Dúrcal, Puerto Rican India, Mexican Alejandra Guzmán, and Chilean Miriam Hernández.
Other albums include Victoria (2019) and Te llamo hoy (2020).
