Dayana Chávez Victoria, better known as Señorita Dayana, is a renowned and popular urban music singer in Cuba. She is also a songwriter, dancer, and choreographer. She was born in Las Tunas, Cuba, on January 13, 1984.
She graduated from the National School of Art (ENA) with a degree in musical performance dance. She has been part of several groups as both a dancer and a singer. Throughout her time on Cuban stages, she has shared the spotlight with renowned artists such as María Antonieta, Zenaida Armenteros, Mayda Mitchel, and Héctor Téllez, among others.
In 2015, she released her first CD-DVD album, De ida y vuelta, where she is the author of 8 out of the 15 tracks, under the record label Ahí Namá Music. This album was nominated for the Cubadisco 2015 in the Pop category.
Her collaborations with the leading exponents of the urban genre on the island have propelled her to fame and international recognition, placing her among the top ranks in Cuba and Puerto Rico, and enjoying great popularity among the Latino audience in Miami, where she was very well received at the Miami Beach Event (April 2019), where she was able to share the stage with Gente de Zona, Carlos Vives, Anuel AA, Frruko, among others.
Miss Dayana has become the only female singer in the urban genre to reach the top of Cuban radio stations for several consecutive weeks.
Among his most important collaborations are: El mentiroso alongside El Chacal (2015), with whom he would reunite to record Tropical and the version of the song Si Piensas, Si Quieres, originally by the Brazilian Roberto Carlos, which was made famous by Rocío Durcal. The song, Soltera featuring Príncipe (2016) topped the charts in the island and reached number one on the 95.7 Cubaton y Más station in Miami. Other popular tracks include the remix of the song Ojalá featuring Jacob Forever, Beso de tu boca with Yakarta, and No volveré (2020) featuring the Cuban urban artists Lenier, Yomil, El Dany, Chacal, and El Micha.
In 2017, the artist was involved in an incident on a Miami television show when she walked off the set after several hosts urged her to comment on the politics of the Cuban government
In January 2021, she announced the release of her latest musical project For Them, an album that features 12 popular songs performed by great female artists such as Rocío Dúrcal, the Puerto Rican India, the Mexican Alejadra Guzmán, and the Chilean Miriam Hernández.
