Karildi Marin's daughter turns two years old while her mother remains missing in Havana

On January 31, little Paola, the daughter of Karildi Caridad Marín, turned two years old surrounded by the love of her family, but without her mother, who has been missing for over a year in Havana.

Her uncle, Yoandri Marín, dedicated an emotional message on social media, expressing his love and blessings for the girl.

On December 14th, a year passed since the young mother, 25 years old and residing in Párraga, Arroyo Naranjo municipality, disappeared without a trace after leaving her home headed to a party.

Since then, their family has endured a torment of doubts and uncertainty, without receiving an official response. "It's very hard for the family not to know what might have happened to him, a year filled with sadness," wrote his brother Yoandri.

Throughout this time, the family has turned to social media and public complaints to prevent the case from being forgotten, seeking help to obtain information about Karildi's whereabouts.

The family's helplessness has grown due to the apparent inaction of the Police in the investigation of the case. In October, marking 10 months since her disappearance, Yoandri Marín strongly criticized the police management, questioning "how in a country without borders can a 24-year-old girl and mother of a baby disappear?".

His father, Tomás Marín, has also made a firm statement, accusing the authorities of a lack of commitment in the search: "The officials involved in the case are doing nothing (...). I'm sure that if it were one of their daughters, she would have already been found," he wrote indignantly on social media.

In April, Yoandri insisted that the clues provided to the investigators have not helped identify any suspects, which increases the despair of those affected. "Those who are supposed to ensure public safety are not doing their job properly (...). There are no signs of her," he reported.

Despite the lack of answers, the Marín family keeps the hope alive of knowing what happened to Karildi. "I ask God to always keep you safe and that justice is served because to this day we have no news of you," Yoandri expressed in August.

On Mother's Day, her father shared photos of Karildi with her baby Paola, reminiscing about the moments they spent together. Everyone continues to seek justice and answers, but above all, the miracle of her return.
