The Cuban model and influencer María Karla Castro, partner of the reggaeton artist El Chulo (Abel Díaz Rodríguez), shared a sweet family photo on her Instagram account alongside the artist and their six-month-old son, amidst concerns regarding the singer's detention by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In the picture, the couple appears smiling during a dinner, while the little baby looks at the camera. Although María Karla did not write any message, the photo was enough to create a wave of support among her followers, who flooded the post with encouraging comments and hearts.
“God be with you”, “Beautiful family” and “Everything will be alright”, were some of the messages left by users, reflecting the love and empathy of the public in light of the difficult moment the family is facing.
Chulo was arrested on January 22 by agents from ICE, following an alleged deportation order pending for several years, related to an old incident involving a firearm in the Tampa area. Since then, he has been in immigration custody at the detention center known as “Alligator Alcatraz.”
María Karla's post marks her return to social media after several days of silence, since she requested the Cuban community in the United States to "stay home unnecessarily" and to be cautious of potential immigration raids.
The couple became parents in June 2025. The new photo, taken before the reggaeton artist's arrest, reflects the family bond and the hope they maintain amid uncertainty.
While U.S. authorities determine the artist's migratory future, his supporters continue to send messages of support to María Karla and little Justin, the son they both consider their greatest strength.
