The Cuban government announced that it will focus on the fundamental administrative activities from Monday to Thursday as part of measures to reduce energy consumption amid the energy crisis.

The decision, according to the explanation shared on the Mesa Redonda, aims to enhance the efficiency of administrative services provided to the public during those four days and reduce disruptions over the weekend.

According to the message, the measure implies that administrative activities are concentrated from Monday to Thursday, and that during the weekend, the operation of these tasks is reduced with the aim of closing them down and thus lowering energy consumption.

The material states that this reduction would have a “positive impact” on the system's availability to address other needs of the population.

The decision was presented by Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, great-nephew of Fidel and Raúl Castro, along with a call for savings and other actions aimed at reducing energy expenditure in "various activities," in line with the directives announced by the authorities due to the lack of fuel.

In the same segment, it was mentioned that decisions related to fuel sales will also be made, based on the argument that there is not enough to maintain the marketing levels of previous weeks.

According to the explanation, there will be limitations on acquisitions and, "as the situation is restored," normal delivery levels will resume.
