Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel will appear before the media this Friday, March 13, to address matters of national and international significance.

According to the official medium Cubadebate, the intervention is scheduled for 7:30 in the morning and will be broadcast nationwide on radio and television.

According to the announcement, the space will continue the discussion that took place on February 5, during which the president also addressed issues related to the country's situation.

The appearance can also be followed through the digital platforms of the official media and will later be rebroadcast on the television program Mesa Redonda.

The government did not provide details on the specific issues that will be addressed during the intervention, in a context marked by the economic crisis, blackouts, and supply shortages affecting the population.

The intervention will also coincide with Friday the 13th, a date associated in many cultures with bad luck, a coincidence that has not gone unnoticed in comments on social media.

On social media, several users reacted to the announcement with skepticism and sarcasm.

Yun Ping On wrote, “Let’s dieeeeee,” while Missy Groot ironized the date by writing: “And one is all excited about the: People of Cubaaaa... at this moment just got executed... Speaking of March 13.”

Other comments anticipated a repetitive speech. Ma Chete stated: “We will continue to resist, this people will not surrender, no one will break us, I can see it coming.”

Daniel Quevedo summarized his expectation with “A little more of the same,” while Brody Memes joked that there would be talk of “creative resistance,” “doing more with less,” and “homeland or death, we shall overcome.”

There were also doubts about the broadcast amid the blackouts. Yerandyh Barrera pointed out that at that time “all of Havana and almost the entire country is without power,” questioning who will be able to watch the appearance.

Jose Antonio Espinosa added, "We will see and hear it if we have power."

The coincidence with Friday the 13th also sparked ironic comments. Gabriela Concepcion wrote, “And Friday the 13th, my God. Nothing good comes from that,” while Marbin Machado stated, “Friday the 13th... the date says it all.”

Rosa María Milián Cabrera also reacted with humor: "So early? And Friday the 13th... hold on to the brush, they're taking the ladder."
