A Cuban reported an alleged attempted robbery in the city of Cárdenas, Matanzas, which has generated outrage on social media and comments that reaffirm the rise in crime in Cuba.
The user of Facebook Jorge Luis Rivero González shared images of the incident and explained that the attempted robbery occurred at the intersection of Mercedes and 9na during the early morning of March 18.
According to his testimony, a young man climbed to a private residence with the apparent intention of breaking into the property, where a pregnant woman was sleeping alone.
The individual was unable to complete the act, but was recorded on video, leading to his face circulating widely on social media. The complainant has asked for assistance in identifying the person and for the case to reach the authorities.
"I hope it reaches the relevant authorities," wrote Rivero, who also harshly criticized the action and alerted the community about these types of incidents.
The incident once again highlights the growing concern among citizens regarding insecurity in various areas of the country, where residents report thefts, attempted robberies, and a lack of effective response from the authorities.
So far, there has been no official information regarding the identification or arrest of the suspect. In the meantime, local residents remain vigilant and urge the reinforcement of surveillance measures to prevent similar situations.
