Several fatalities have been reported in an accident on the highway in Moa, Holguín

The collision between two vehicles on the Moa-Baracoa road in the province of Holguín this Monday resulted in the deaths of several people, according to preliminary information from official sources.

The traffic accident occurred in the afternoon near the Ernesto Che Guevara Nickel Company in Moa, when a truck collided with a tricycle, reported Camilo Velazco Petittón, director of the radio station La Voz del Níquel, who did not specify the number of victims.

However, a report in the Facebook group "Motorinas Moa" indicated that five people died in the accident, a fact that has not been officially confirmed.

As of the time this note was published, the identities of the fatalities from the accident have not been revealed.

A user on the network claimed that three of the deceased were from the same family, while a woman stated that a couple living in the community of Punta Gorda had died.

Images shared by another internet user show the overturned truck at the edge of a river and the damage sustained by the tricycle.

According to comments on the posts, the tricycle was transporting passengers and the truck belongs to Womy Equipment Rental. This is a Dutch company specializing in the rental, sale, and maintenance of heavy equipment, vehicles (cars, trucks, buses), and machinery, according to information available online.
