The driver of a Toyota died after rear-ending a flatbed truck at high speed on Saturday morning in Miami

The accident forced the westbound lanes of the Dolphin Expressway to close, reported Local 10.

The accident occurred shortly before 8:20 a.m. near Northwest 57th Avenue, as explained by Lieutenant Alex Camacho, spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Toyota, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver was unharmed.

The westbound lanes of the Dolphin Expressway are closed at Northwest 57th Avenue while the investigation continues.
