After the medical evaluation, it was decided to transfer to Camagüey the entire group of pregnant women traveling on the bus, in order to ensure specialized care at the Ana Betancourt Maternal Hospital.

The exact circumstances of the accident are still under review, while the passengers involved are being kept under medical observation.

The incident occurs amidst a severe fuel crisis on the island that has forced nearly the entire vehicle fleet of the country to come to a standstill.
