The question was posed on the social network X by the user identified as @justsillymilly: “What song do you have prepared to celebrate when the Cuban regime falls?”

The question sparked a wave of responses from Cubans and supporters who imagined what music should play on the day of freedom.

The exchange took place in X, where dozens of users shared the themes that, according to them, would accompany a historic moment for the island.

Among the most frequently given responses was a classic from the Cuban exile.

User @FSmoogle mentioned “Ya vienen llegando” by Willy Chirino, a song that has, for decades, become a musical symbol of the longing for freedom for Cuba.

Other participants opted for international anthems associated with victories or political changes. The user @Prime_HdA chose "We Are the Champions" by Queen, believing that the end of the regime would feel like "winning the greatest challenge."

In the same vein, @hallvorniklas mentioned “Free Bird,” while @Luismvb2 suggested “Wind of Change” by Scorpions, a song that became emblematic after the fall of the Soviet bloc.

Others opted for dissenting artists from the island such as Porno para Ricardo or Al2 El Aldeano, mentioned by some participants as the soundtrack of a potential transition.

Songs directly linked to Cuban culture also emerged. The user @elfranklinpalau mentioned "Cuba Libre," performed by Gloria Estefan and produced by Pablo Flores.

Humor was also present in the exchange. The user @LolitaLola254 mentioned that she was already practicing the dance of U.S. President Donald Trump "to thank him," referring to the role that many exiles attribute to Washington's political pressure on the Cuban government.

Among the suggestions were songs by Marc Anthony, Funky, and even some pop culture hits, reflecting the diverse generations and tastes of those who responded to the question.

The conversation ended up becoming a kind of imaginary soundtrack for a future political change in Cuba, where classics of exile, international rock, and protest music share the same symbolic stage.

From the editorial team of CiberCuba, we also want to share our choice. It is the song "Memorandum Para Un Tirano," by the unmistakable and iconic voice of the Cuban exile, Willy Chirino, and a powerful statement against the dictatorship.
