Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez Batista, known artistically as Natti Natasha, is a Dominican singer and songwriter of reggaeton, Latin pop, and bachata, born in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic on December 10, 1986.
At the age of 14, she began composing and recording her own songs and formed the musical group “D'Style,” which disbanded due to its lack of success. After reevaluating her career and deciding to venture as a solo artist in the urban genre, Natti, alongside her friend, the successful music producer link- On from Orfanato Music Group, started working on some of her tracks in his studio when, by chance, Don Omar heard her. Impressed by her talent, he recorded the song "Dutty Love" with her. The track, which is tropical pop and co-written with Don Omar, is a single from Don Omar's compilation album MTO 2: New Generation, released in 2011, with which the artists won three Billboard Latin awards.
Later, he recorded some tracks such as: “Your Memory,” "Together We Can Fly" with Henry Santos, "Grind," "Te Dijeron Remix" with Plan B, among others. He also collaborated with Farruko on "Crazy In Love." In 2015, Don Omar and Natti reunited to record the song "Lost in Your Eyes," which is part of the Puerto Rican reggaeton artist's sixth album, The Last Don 2. The song surpassed 100 million views on Vevo and won platinum status in Spain that year.
In 2017, in collaboration with his compatriot Ozuna, he released the single Criminal from the Puerto Rican's album La Súper Fórmula. The music video for the song achieved over two billion views on YouTube and opened the door for the Puerto Rican artist to the Billboard Hot 100, the major chart of the 100 best-selling singles in the United States. As a result of this success, Natti Natasha was the most searched woman on the Internet in 2017.
In 2018, alongside the American singer of Mexican descent, Becky G, she released "Sin pijama." Produced, among others, by Daddy Yankee, the song was launched as the fifth single from Becky G's debut album in Spanish, becoming the third top 10 hit for Becky and Natasha on the US Hot Latin Songs chart. It reached number one in Bolivia and Spain, as well as the top 10 in other Latin American countries. The track achieved a Latin platinum certification in the U.S. and garnered over 100 million views on YouTube/Vevo within three weeks of its release.
Among his other well-known hits is "No me acuerdo" in collaboration with Mexican singer Thalía, from Thalía's fourth studio album, Valiente (2018). The remix of Dura (from Daddy Yankee's album El Disco Duro, 2018), alongside Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, and Becky G.
Between 2018 and 2019, she was nominated in several categories and won over 15 awards at the major events recognizing the best in Latin music. Her collaborations become instant hits that boost streams on digital platforms.
