A young man fell into the Frank País Mill, located on the Tourist Road of Santiago de Cuba, and sustained injuries that have left him in extremely critical condition.
The news was shared on Facebook by the communicator Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, who specified that the injured person is named Dayan Navarro Acosta and is not an employee of the facility.
According to the information received, Dayan allegedly entered the place as a "ninja" to steal, but while under the influence of alcohol, he fell headfirst from a height equivalent to about three stories, from an area known as Trigo 1.
The impacts were concentrated on the head, which explains why his condition deteriorated in just a few hours.
After the incident, he was urgently taken to the Joaquín Castillo Duany Military Hospital. He remains in a coma there, with minimal bodily response and no apparent brain activity.
The doctors were assessing the possibility of transferring him to another hospital facility to perform a computed tomography scan in order to determine the extent of his injuries.
One of the aspects that has garnered the most attention regarding the case is the report of the alleged lack of immediate assistance.
According to the collected testimonies, the young man did not receive assistance from either the security personnel or from others present at the scene at the time of the fall, raising questions about potential responsibilities.
Dayan Navarro Acosta lives in the town of Altamira, is married, and is a father to a child under one year old.
The page that disseminated the information assured that it will continue to investigate to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident and determine if there was any negligence in the initial care of the young man after the accident.
He also requested that anyone with verifiable information share it privately, in order to provide details that may help clarify this serious incident.
