A car crashed this Friday morning into the perimeter fence of a daycare in Colón, Matanzas, causing minor damage.

The accident occurred at the corner of Martorell Street and Varona, “when a passenger car crashed into the perimeter fence on the side of the Círculo Infantil Rayitos Internacionalistas,”

Fortunately, there were no children in the area, only in play areas in the hallways within the educational facility. As a safety measure, they were moved to their classrooms, attended by educators and staff from the children's center, the information specifies.

"The causes of the incident are currently being investigated by members of the Revolutionary National Police, and the preschool is carrying out its teaching and educational activities with the children as usual," the note concludes.

This Friday, a new accident raised concerns among residents of a street in the city of Matanzas, where a truck with a container knocked down two poles and left telephone cables scattered across the public roadway.

The alert was shared on Facebook by journalist Pedro Rizo Martínez, who urged drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution due to the danger posed by downed power lines.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Guachinango Street and Calzada del Naranjal, a location where, according to testimonies from neighbors, dozens of accidents have been reported.

According to local residents, the truck driver stayed at the scene for a while after the impact, but then left.
