Díaz-Canel reveals “everything” in an “interview” with the Cuban influencer papijazzper

If you haven't seen it, hurry and go look for it right away. In this "interview" that the Cuban influencer papijazzper (Enrique Yobal Suárez Gigato) managed to put together - and publish in two short clips - with President Miguel Díaz-Canel, the leader reveals "everything."

From the intimate details of his relationship with the non-first lady Lis Cuesta, to the alleged "romance" with the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, as well as the amounts of his salary, Raúl Castro's, and the late Fidel Castro's, the first secretary of the "glorious" PCC completely "bares himself."

In the humorous piece created by papijazzper months ago that has gone viral on social media, excerpts from other "diazcanérica" interviews are ingeniously compiled to produce perhaps the most charming and incisive dialogue that has emerged so far with the Cuban leader.

“Sincerely, in which sector do you think the government has failed the most?” asks the interviewer. The interviewee lists a long string of responses: “Food production, agriculture, energy, tourism, science and innovation, the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry…” This, judging by the multidimensional crisis that has only deepened in recent years on the Island, seems to be quite accurate.

At another moment in the "conversation," the influencer "inquires" about the money earned by Díaz-Canel, the nonagenarian Raúl Castro, and the late commander-in-chief. To which the president responds with figures ranging from 13 to over 200 million dollars.

Beyond the credibility that such figures may be attributed, the lives of the privileges of Cuban leaders, their families, and close associates have provided considerable material for speculation regarding their earnings over the years, especially as the people have been experiencing increasing levels of poverty and deprivation that are prompting discussions of a humanitarian emergency.

The "interviewer" does not overlook the nickname by which the people, especially the opposition or critics of the government, know Díaz-Canel, and recalls that this epithet ("singao") is attributed to Aldo (Al2), the rapper from the dissenting group “Los Aldeanos,” whom Díaz-Canel "listens to" clandestinely in his car. And “the entire Council of State knows about it,” adds papijazzper.

“What's your favorite place you would always like to be?” the fictional journalist asks him. The president “responds” right away: “In power.” This is a stance he has consistently taken, as he clings to leadership and announces that there will be no political changes in the country, and that his permanence is not determined by political negotiations with the U.S.

Many other tasty details are found in this "journalistic" talk, which distances itself quite a bit from the propaganda monologues that the Cuban leader has had with his friend Ignacio Ramonet, with La Jornada or, very recently, with the Spanish politician Pablo Iglesias.

Just one more "gem" to comment on: the dialogue ends with a blackout at the Palace of the Revolution.

Could it be a premonition?
